EXPOSURE

  • INHALATION
  • Dullness.
    Ventilation.
Fresh air, rest. Artificial respiration if indicated. Refer for medical attention.
  • SKIN
  • MAY BE ABSORBED! Redness.
    Protective gloves.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Refer for medical attention.
  • EYES
  • Redness. Pain.
    Face shield.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
  • Confusion. Dizziness. Drowsiness. Dullness.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Give plenty of water to drink. Refer for medical attention.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
Ventilation. Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable containers as far as possible. Wash away remainder with plenty of water. Absorb spilled liquid in sand or inert absorbent and remove to a safe place.
Fireproof. Separated from strong oxidants, strong bases, strong acids, Cool. Dry.

    PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
COLOURLESS LIQUID , WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR.

    CHEMICAL DANGERS:
The substance can presumably form explosive peroxides.. The substance decomposes on burning , producing toxic gases and vapours. Reacts with strong oxidants, acids and bases.

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
    TLV: 0.1 ppm; 0.6 mg/m3 (as TWA) (ACGIH 1997).
MAK: -- ppm; -- mg/m3; Animal carcinogen; potential occupational carcinogen (1997)

    ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation and through the skin, and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
A harmful contamination of the air will not or will only very slowly be reached on evaporation of this substance at 20░C..

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance irritates the eyes, the skin and the respiratory tract. Exposure could cause lowering of consciousness.

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
Repeated or prolonged contact with skin may cause dermatitis . Repeated or prolonged contact may cause skin sensitization . The liquid defats the skin. This substance is possibly carcinogenic to humans.
